Eligibility conditions for renovation grants

Brussels renovation grants are accessible to owner-occupants and landlords, subject to certain conditions.

Amounts and calculation

Coverage rates

The rate varies according to the applicant’s income:

Ceilings

  • Maximum amount per work category: variable (5,000 to 25,000 EUR)
  • Total maximum amount per property: up to 35,000 EUR
  • No accumulation for the same type of works within 10 years
Social landlord bonus

Landlords who commit to renting through a social letting agency (AIS) benefit from enhanced grant rates.

Application procedure

Steps

  1. Before works: obtain a detailed quote from a contractor
  2. Submit the application online on the Bruxelles Logement portal
  3. Await approval from the Region (timeframe: 2 to 4 months)
  4. Complete the works within 12 months of approval
  5. Provide invoices and proof of payment
  6. Receive the grant by bank transfer (timeframe: 2 to 3 months after sending invoices)
