Coordination with the tenant
Planning
- Notify the tenant at least 15 days in advance
- Propose 2-3 possible dates for the visit
- Confirm the agreed date in writing
- Limit the visit to a reasonable duration (1-2 hours)
Points to check with the tenant
- Boiler maintenance certificate
- Condition of smoke detectors (batteries)
- Any unreported problems
- Compliance with the co-ownership rules
After the visit
Send a written summary to the tenant covering:
- Findings noted
- Works to be carried out and by whom
- Provisional schedule of interventions
