Coordination with the tenant

Planning

  1. Notify the tenant at least 15 days in advance
  2. Propose 2-3 possible dates for the visit
  3. Confirm the agreed date in writing
  4. Limit the visit to a reasonable duration (1-2 hours)

Points to check with the tenant

  • Boiler maintenance certificate
  • Condition of smoke detectors (batteries)
  • Any unreported problems
  • Compliance with the co-ownership rules

After the visit

Send a written summary to the tenant covering:

  • Findings noted
  • Works to be carried out and by whom
  • Provisional schedule of interventions
